Mussadique Suleiman: CEO

Coming from a background in Cognitive Sciences as well as being personally passionate about the visual arts, Mussadique Suleiman founded Studio Voxel based on the marriage of cutting edge technology and artistic sensibility. Very much involved in the technical development in the studio, he is an accomplished 3D artist, programmer and an authority in CG technology. His scientific approach and lateral thinking is the backbone that will lead Studio Voxel to the forefront of Visual Effects production.

Having co-directed music videos and productions with Jordan Suleiman under the banner of The Suleiman Brothers, their work has won numerous awards at the national and international levels. His latest work, the short film ‘Rojak!’ has been on official selection at the Pusan FIlm Festival, Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, as well as being in the official competition at the Tampere 40th International Short Film Festival and Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival 2010.

Yasmin Suleiman : Managing Director / Producer

A graphic designer by training, Yasmin Suleiman handles the management and business development of the studio facility. Yasmin started her career in marketing in retail followed by a career in graphic design for 10 years. She began exploring the television industry and began art directing for local television shows.

In 1993, she started her own design agency operating until 1999. During the course of running the design outfit, she was responsible for the design and management on all manner of design work for corporations, produced corporate identity programmes, annual reports, marketing collaterals for clients such as Microsoft and Putrajaya Corporation. In 2005, Yasmin joined Studio Voxel as the managing director and producer where she saw through several award winning productions. Today, she will be developing Studio Voxel into a major visual effects vendor.

Jordan Suleiman : Creative Director

I have always been intrigued by any sort of sequential art medium – be it film, animation or graphic novels. In that sense, I consider myself a 4D artist – the fourth dimension being time.” Initially becoming an established and multiple award-winning music video director in Malaysia, Jordan Suleiman indulged in a wide range of visual disciplines from cel animation to video production before establishing the brand new visual effects facility in Studio Voxel. “Rojak!”, his latest short film, was on official selection at the Pusan FIlm Festival, Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, as well as being in the official competition at the Tampere 40th International Short Film Festival and Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival 2010.

As the Creative Director of Studio Voxel, he plans to converge his wide knowledge of the visual arts into creating sophisticated but cost-effective visual effects solutions.

Sandie Lee : Business Development Director/ Producer

Sandie  began her career in 1995 and was in marketing and sales for the last 15 years. She has a great deal of experience across a variety of industries. Her career began in office automation, industrial paint and the parking industry, where today, she finds herself applying her skills in the media, production and entertaiment industry. Her all-roundedness in marketing and sales comes to good use and is an important component to the Voxel equation.

She now heads the Business Development division of the company. A creative individual in her own right, she engineers and generates leads, assesses marketing opportunites and target markets for the company. Along with the principals of the company, Sandie is in the business of realising the full potential of Voxel.

Shoban Babu : Associate vfx Producer & Supervisor

Having flexed his visual effects knowledge as a visual effects supervisor on films like Terminator Salvation, I Am Legend, Spiderman 3, Ghost Rider and Alice in Wonderland; Shoban is no stranger to hollywood-grade digital effects. Shoban started his entertainment career in 1995 as a title designer, where his creative and technical skill set was eventually appreciated in some of the leading domestic visual effects studios as a top visual effects artist. His experience spans the realm of broadcast media, music videos, corporate films, advertising agencies and the feature film industry as a digital artist and visual effects supervisor for the last 11 years.

Having successfully developed small-scale studios into large visual effects suppliers spanning 200-artist teams, Shoban is a major contributer to Studio Voxel’s business development strategies.
